[PURPOSE]
- Manage the development process aspects related to product creation. This role requires strong management, alignment, and collaboration with the Product Team in Asia, to fulfill product requirements.
- A key player in Global Sourcing in driving Sourcing’s vision to be the Most Agile, Most Competitive, Most Digitalized & Cleanest Supply Base in the industry. Support the Creation team to create and execute against the designated areas of responsibility.
- Drive for development, product integrity, manufacturability, and Speed for the category.
[KEY RESPONSIBILITIES]
- Ensure all product milestones are achieved in a fast-paced creation process.
- Seek continual improvement in processes to drive leading product processes with speed and efficiency.
- Manage the development process of assigned products in collaboration with Tier 1 factory personnel and technical teams.
- Provide specific technical expertise to ensure effective transition of design into samples and production while ensuring the manufacturability, material selection, material standards, development timeline, and cost to target are met.
- Influence HQ (Design, Marketing, Brand Operations, Quality) and external parties (factory Development & Production) and drive change using principle-centered vs policy-driven with adidas' standards as the center of focus in managing/ solving conflicts.
- Manage in a continuous upgrade of technical applications and processes and implementation of new technology in development and engineering.
- Make day-to-day decisions within the defined scope. Escalate to a higher level(s) when facing complex issues or seeing the potential impacts on business/manufacturing.
- Execute defined directives.
- Supervise the direct development process between the Headquarters/Creation Center and Tier 1 factory ensuring that the Create to Value approach and product integrity at the paramount priority and focus.
- Ensure all sourcing operations and practices fully comply with adidas’ Responsible Sourcing & Purchasing Policy, adidas standards, and legal requirements, while managing the relevant processes internally and externally.
- Maintain all related product systems
- Role model leadership to foster a culture of Diversity Equity & Inclusion that strives for an inclusive workplace.
[KEY RELATIONSHIPS]
- Internal stakeholders: Manufacturing, Costing, Material, Planning, Product Quality, Product Testing & Compliance, E&MI, Brand Marketing & Design
- External stakeholders: Sourcing Suppliers (Tier1 factory development, sample room supervisors; Tier2 / Tier3 suppliers)
