Summary
Are you a detail-oriented and technically curious individual with a passion for both automotive technology and design? We're seeking a motivated and eager learner to join our team as an Automotive Diagnostic Engineer - Quality Assurance & Database Compiler Engineer. In this entry-level role, you'll gain hands-on experience in software and hardware testing methodologies, database management, and automotive diagnostics, with a strong focus on utilizing your design skills to elevate the user experience and visual communication of technical information. You'll collaborate closely with a supportive team to ensure the quality, accuracy, and user-friendliness of our innovative vehicle diagnostic tool.
Responsibilities
1. Testing and Evaluation (Emphasis):
1. Learn and apply Quality Assurance methodologies to design and execute test plans for the vehicle diagnostic tool across various hardware platforms.
2. Assist in meticulously documenting software bugs and hardware compatibility issues, utilizing your design skills to create clear and informative visual representations of problems.
3. Work with the development team to understand identified problems and potential solutions, contributing your design perspective to improve user interfaces and workflows.
2. Database Compilation (Emphasis):
1. Learn to understand the flow and logical relationships within the data to ensure proper database structure.
2. Assist in compiling the data into a pre-defined template format that aligns with the diagnostic tool database, adhering to accuracy and consistency.
3. Identify and report any inconsistencies or missing data points under guidance.
4. Utilize your design skills to create visual aids, diagrams, and other tools to improve data visualization and understanding.
3. Hardware/Software Integration (Potential):
1. While not required, knowledge of hardware components and tablet operating systems is a plus.
2. You may be involved in identifying potential hardware or software integration issues during testing.
3. Apply your design expertise to create user-friendly layouts and intuitive interfaces for hardware and software interactions.
4. Design Support:
1. Collaborate with the development team to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for the diagnostic tool.
2. Design icons, graphics, and other visual elements to enhance the user experience.
3. Develop visual aids, diagrams, and other materials to effectively communicate technical information to users, utilizing Adobe Creative Suite software and potentially Figma for collaborative design.
4. Contribute to the overall aesthetic and branding of the diagnostic tool.
