The Brand Manager will be responsible for building the brand equity and image of assigned brand(s), achieving market share gains, liaising closely with all relevant personnel to ensure the right execution of brand direction, and successfully implementing all brand-building activities within the approved budget and timeline.
1. Brand strategy & marketing planning
• Strategise, develop and implement brand strategies/ plans to ensure execution aligns with the agreed brand positioning, timeline, and budget.
• Detail marketing action plan for implementation.
2. Brand activities:
• Work with the Trade Marketing team to supervise and develop an annual activation and engagement plan.
• Develop strategic direction and annual master plan for key brands to optimize resources.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate brand marketing activities in line with the brand plan/ brand direction.
• Closely monitor agency performance KPIs and deliver annual appraisals.
3. Market Insights
• Gather and present clear market insight, market needs, risks and opportunities to key stakeholders & regional team. Build strong awareness of local market trends (consumer, trade, competitor, political insight), and identify new disruption opportunities for core brands.
• Participate in market visits to formulate an excellent sense of consumers and the market.
• Provide monthly analysis and commentary on key brand activities and performance.
4. A&P budget management
• Create an annual A&P Budget Plan, phased monthly by planned spend according to the activation calendar.
• Track monthly spending and provide updates
• Implement and strictly adhere to the company's purchasing policy to manage and control the efficiency of A&P spend
• Rationalise A&P spend, making adjustments and recommendations where necessary based on analysis of ROI of activities.
5. Communication and relationship.
• Manage efficient communication to get the best support internally and externally.
• Develop a collaborative relationship with the Trade marketing and sales team.
• Build effective working relationships with the brands, agencies and internal teams such as the Trade Marketing and Sales team.
6. Other tasks assigned by the line Manager
