Reports to:Country Manager – Viet Nam office
A. Job purpose
To source right suppliers as MFC or clients demand, to develop new projects from design to delivery with quality standards as MFC or client requirements.
B. Key areas of responsibility
1. Position needs to work closely with the following internal functions:
- BD team (BD Manager, BDs)
- Country Manager
- QC team (QC manager, QC)
- TE team (TE manager, TE)
- Operations team
- Head office in UK (Managing Director, Operations…)
2. Mission:
- The BD mission is to develop the range successfully and to maintain good business relations with suppliers and customers.
3. Summary of responsibilities:
- Daily communication and negotiation with supplier s and customers to make sure information flow is transferred smoothly and the business is developed at the most efficiency
- Develop performance of existing and find new suppliers for indoor and outdoor furniture with right cost and quality
- Build win-win and long-term relations with suppliers and buyers
- Optimize costs and supply chain of the assigned products
- Ensure that team members are well informed and updated of the development progress for achieving the same goal
- Ensure products are developed and delivered in line with the agreed conditions and standards of different buyers, from design to sample, production and shipment
- Report to Business Development Manager and Country Manager
4. Required Skills and Experience
- Sense and passion in leading business and people
- Good understanding of economics and finance
- Entrepreneurial, able to see and seize business opportunities
- Extensive knowledge of supply chain as well as legal issues of international purchasing
- University degree and minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing or business development. Material and production knowledge including cost of furniture production is an advantage.
- Fluency in English and PC skills
- Open minded, proactive, goal-oriented, team working
- Excellent negotiation, communication and problem-solving skills
- Willingness for changes, intensive business traveling and high work pressure
