Cán Bộ Phòng Bảo Vệ Động Vật Hoang Dã / Consumer Crime Officer (Urgent)

Position Description
The Consumer Crime Officer is responsible for reporting and conducting responses to wildlife violations committed by consumer establishments across Vietnam, as well as facilitating volunteers for monitoring. Production of reports and statistics is an essential part of the role and the Consumer Crime Officer will work closely with the Communications and Public Awareness Team (CPA) and the Policy and Legislation Team.
Main Responsibilities
1. Independent volunteer monitoring coordination
• Find independent volunteers (VOLs) to support monitoring (MO), check progress and update MO results
• Produce monthly MO assignment to outposts, check progress and update MO results
• Create, expand, manage ENV VOLs database and cooperate with CPA to complete all tasks related to VOLs
2. Reducing Consumer Crime
• Logging consumer crime cases
• Address wildlife violations detected in fix establishments by documenting, tracking, and concluding cases successfully
• Formally communicate with businesses which commit wildlife crimes, in order to convince them to stop committing crimes
3. Live animal transfers and untimely cases
Handle cases related to wildlife transfer/street vendor when needed under WCU supervisor’s instruction
4. Support Internet campaign
Support in logging discovered internet violations
5. Other Duties
Complete other duties and assignments as specified by the ENV Management Board and/or the WCU Team Leader
