CSW Industrials (Nasdaq: CSWI) an US publicly traded company in Nasdaq stock market with approx. $4B market cap that serves a variety of HVAC end markets through 3 business units - Contractor Solutions, Engineered Building Solutions and Specialized Reliability Solutions. We’re having significant manufacturing base in China via our contract manufacturing partners in Guangdong and Shanghai area.
We’re looking for a Cost Accountant who will handle all costing master for US entities and back up for VN entity. The ideal candidate will possess a sheet of good background of costing concepts and experience in the manufacturing industry. The candidate works closely with the Cost Controller to provide strong guidance as it relates to Cost Accounting and Inventory Controls. This role will report locally to Senior Finance Analyst, with a dotted line to the Contractor Solutions segment Cost Controller in Houston, Texas.
Responsibilities & Job Duties
• Costing
o Establishes the standard costing process.
o Execute cost rolls, evaluate BOM, Raw materials prices, labor, overhead rates and propose adjustments as needed to reflect “true” product cost/profitability.
o Prepare product costing and profitability analysis. Vet assumptions around product cost and model overall profitability of future factory changes.
• Inventory
o Analyze inventory turns by product, determine “healthy” inventory level.
o Primary point of contact for all inventory valuation and accounting topics.
• Month End Closing
o Close the inventory module and run respective reports. Prepare journal entries and perform reconciliation with clear action required.
• Reporting & Analytics
o Analyze P&L and balance sheet to explain variances & provide guidance for any operational changes needed to rectify variances. Review variable costs vs. volume trends and alert abnormalities to Management & handle ad-hoc reporting.
• Business Support
o Develop KPIs and costing dashboard. Support manufacturing in optimizing labor/staffing levels by providing analysis of actual hours vs. standard hours vs. paid hours.
