Director Of Raw Material Team

Actioning all requests/instructions from upper manager, including action strike offs /requesting SY, FIS submissions, Initial test report submission, guiding fabric teams to complete data on BBR, working with Shiv from NEO TANGENT
Doing weekly reports: Approval summary - documentation of the week’s practices, visual diary of the week’s updates, test report details, etc.
Receiving request, managing and responding to fabric' requests from R&D team
Catching and presenting trends in customer meetings,
Working in conjunction with fabric merchandiser from sale teams
Receiving request, managing and responding to fabric requests from Sales managers covering brands: Ann Taylor, Loft, L&G, JCREW factory
Preparing fabric books for customers' meetings, sales meeting as required
Submit selected fabrics to NYC office for brands Lily Pully
Duties – collate fabrics as and when requested – post meeting: JCP, raw material team
Building relationships with existing and new contacts/mills
Issuing trends/directions to mills to prepare for sales meetings
Inviting/ attending fabric mill meetings
Attending fabric Fair (SECC)
Representing company in professional/respectful manner

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
Over 10 years' work experience in garment industry, materials management, fabric sourcing or related field
Ability to build and develop relationships with customers, suppliers and team members
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Garment Technology, Textile Technology, or related major
Price negotiations skill with customers, mills and suppliers.
Engineering prices to meet customer requirements
Management of design and sales admin team
Reacting to sales info and suggesting either repeating or action quick move ons
Developing of range and presentation to management and customers
Ability to work with factories, sales teams to handle requirement and reach deadline as schedule
Business development experience - targeting new customers making sure all product and infra structure match with desires
Managing design to ensure samples are actioned for specific sign off meetings
Sourcing new fabrications and developments working to specific price points in various COM’s
Foreigner candidates are preferred.
