Financial Analyst

JOB PURPOSE:
Working within a finance team, the successful individual will be responsible for the daily accounting tasks of SPS business in Singapore and Japan for the interim while at the same time mentoring new personnel based overseas for daily accounting tasks to be transferred over. This position will also have an active role being part of a business-critical function responsible for submitting actuals, and other ad hoc reports to the controlling group in Switzerland monthly or local management team. The role requires a detailed oriented individual who is proactive, enthusiastic, and ready to get stuck in with a busy team together with a proven track record of delivering accurate reporting in a time pressured environment, supporting and working closely with APAC Financial Controller Great opportunity to grow career within SPS
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with month end process
- Issue and upload invoices to customers’ portals
- Maintain balance sheet accrual and prepayment accounts
- Assist in transitioning of transactional accounting tasks to SPS offshore sites
- Record and prepare payment to suppliers
- Support monthly reporting of results to local management and Group for consolidation
- Reviewing and analysing accounting results prepared by overseas personnel
- Work closely with CPA / accounting partner firms to ensure accurate bookkeeping
- Audit and tax liaison
- Support forecast and budget process
- Mentoring new personnel based overseas to perform daily accounting tasks
- Ad hoc duties
