Legal & Compliance Officer (Contract: 9 Months)

*KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Regulatory compliance
• Support to develop and implement an effective legal compliance program.
• Ensure internal policies and guidelines comply with applicable laws and regulations.
• Conduct thorough reviews of the branch’s policies and procedures to ensure comprehensive regulatory compliance.
• Enhance the control points in the operation and eliminate relevant risks.
• Analyze the effects of new regulations on the bank’s policies and conduct legal briefings and impact analysis on new laws and regulations.
• Participate in the implementation of sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them.
• Provide legal advice to other departments and Management in relation to banking business and operations.
• Manage the control of incoming and outgoing legal documents.
Other Responsibilities
• Assist the Head of Compliance in covering all aspects of AML/CTF, including setting the AML framework, policies and procedures, KYC, AML Screening, AML Monitoring, and Reporting.
• Support the Head of Compliance in identifying, prioritizing, and controlling risks associated with non-compliance topics.
• Support to prepare compliance and ad-hoc reports.
• Back up other team members during their absence and handle other tasks as assigned.
• Perform other legal and/or compliance tasks as requested by the Head of Compliance and Management.
