Job Purpose
The Role of the Logistics Manager is to monitor and drive Logistics requirements through a strong level of leadership and commitment to the logistics function. The Logistics Manager is responsible for a high level of quality, driven through performance outputs from the team in inbound and outbound functions ,managing Import and Export guidelines as well as provide a solid reporting perspective on all commercial and transactional elements.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Monitor day to day activity of Logistics related activities , inbound freight to warehouse , picking and packing standards, along with dispatch of goods in a timely manner in line with required SLA’s
• Report monthly activity on inbound/outbound functions in terms of KPI metrics and performance and identify focus area’s for improvement
• Liase directly with the Logistics Director around project based opportunity’s to improve country specific area’s identified as opportunities
• Assist with all aspects of reporting and achievements in line with the defined outcomes of the business. Interaction with key stakeholders , Sales, Finance, Pre Sales and technical , along with Regulatory Compliance teams for cohesion
• Monitor and review 3rd party suppliers such as freight forwarders as required.
• Provide escalation to urgent matters and achieve a high level of customer satisfaction through team communication to all relevant departments of the business as required
• Interact with the sales and support teams to deliver excellence in all matters relating to Logistics support and process’s
• Monitor and report Importation & Export volumes , freight costs and local spend related to all supply chain costs in line with budget limits
From time to time, you may be required to assume additional responsibilities other than those specified above.

: The quality of goods and services produced in terms of errors, waste and rework required to meet standards.
• Use of Resources:
The efficiency of use of time, money, materials and people to produce the required goods and services.
• Customer Impact/Value Added
: The extent to which the goods and services produced meet the expectations of internal and external customers.
• Freedom from Unplanned Support:
The amount and intensity of supervision and support necessary to perform up to standard.
• Team/Unit Contribution:
Unrelated to personal or group performance, is helpful to others in the unit or organization in getting work done or setting a tone of cooperation.
• Productive Work Habits
: The extent to which overall work style is effective and productive in terms of time management, setting objectives and priorities, and following up on commitments across a variety of work challenges.
• Adding Skills and Capabilities:
The extent to which any capabilities were added to the current portfolio of skills, attitudes and knowledge in order to get work done and build for the future.
