Role & Responsibilities:
Job Definition (Key Purpose of the Job) :
All VF product material management activities related to fact-based materials measurement, set material yield standards. Verification and Calibration SOP’s coaching to vendors with adoption of VF Materials Management score card, predictive manufacturing cost measurement associated to VF all products.
Key Result Areas:
• Engage with different VF brand Technical and Product Development teams to build a fact-based materials yields costing model that fits for use with brands.
• Manage, coach and mentor VF and vendor technical and costing teams for effective use of VF Materials Management expectations with all VF product groups and locations
• Centrally manage Materials costing requirements by direct engagement with Costing, Engineering, Sourcing team and collaboration with vendor technical, costing and product development teams to develop work material standards and expectations for all VF products and application for brand costing, process improvement with vendors and VF cost projects
• Develop and maintain a framework / SOP for effective material management for all VF Products
• Liaison with VF Automation team to develop reasonable and cost-effective automation machinery that improves Materials Yield, quality, process, and headcount.
• Support other Engineering functions and departments by providing quick response for engineering projects as directed by Engineering Director.
• Coach Costing team, Technical staff, and Engineer’s learnings to enhance talents
• Coach all levels of VF people on Materials Management SOP’s and Costing process.
