Ocean Procurement & Pricing Supervisor

- Build rate sheet and carrier matrix.
- Manage volume and GP for assigned trade lanes.
- Select and contract with carriers and subcontractors.
- Analyze market and customer situation.
- Allocate and manage capacity.
- Research competitors and their key customers and carriers.
- Periodically review existing products and explore new products for business enhancement.
- Conduct periodic market studies to understand market trends and adjust sales activities accordingly.
- Provide marketing information in support of sales activities.
- Maximize volume and GP through cost and capacity analysis of Tender, RFQ, and ad-hoc projects.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Shipping Lines.
- Work with procurement team or GPC to submit RFQs/tenders on time.
- Provide promotional material for product development, especially new services or solutions such as PPT, etc.
- Support and share information with OPH/Procurement and Pricing Manager regarding RFI and RFQ terms and conditions.
- Set and plan strategies to ensure cost competitiveness for tender, RFQ, and ad-hoc projects.
- Record the RFQ history with buying rate, selling rate, condition and analyze the reason of win and lose for the next RFQ of their own trade lanes.
- Prepare allocation and ocean freight rate.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the superiors.
- Develop volume and maximize profit to match the budget.
- Regularly monitor emails and respond promptly to messages with the necessary information within 24 hours of receiving the initial inquiry.
- Report to direct superiors as requested.
