ABOUT THE POSITION
The Operations Officer will report to the Head of Operations and Facility, and will be in charge of soft services, including cleaning, landscaping, catering, pest control, etc…. You will work closely with other departments, to support them in various management situations, whilst ensuring, the effective delivery of an excellent, customer-focused operation services to the Colleges/Departments.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Plan and manage operational services such as cleaning, landscaping, catering, pest control
- Manage the dormitory cleaning services, including room set-up, cleaning, consumables, etc.
- Plan and manage the event support activities, including: sanitation before/during/after events, set-up before events
- Coordinate and monitor activities of contract suppliers, ensure delivery schedules, quantity and quality criteria are met
- Calculate and compare costs for goods and services to maximize cost-effectiveness
- Manage the food hygiene compliance and quality of catering services (canteen, cafeteria)
- Negotiate contracts to optimize delivery and cost saving
- Prepare and track operation budget and supervise the invoices
- Coordinate with vendors and be the key contact person of payments
- Obtain quotes and tenders from vendors and suppliers
- Other tasks or responsibilities as assigned by Head of Operations and Facility
