Photo Studio Intern

Hasbro’s Global Photo Studios is composed of studios in Rhode Island, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and Haiphong.
We are looking for a Photography Graduate to fill a 3-month internship role in our Haiphong studio.
Do you love contributing to a visual strategy, working with others, and perfecting product photography for outstanding brands like My Little Pony, Transformers, Baby Alive, and a variety of Action Brands?

The intern will intake toy samples, photograph products to create core images for ecommerce, and maintain sample inventory, returns, etc.
These images must be dynamic to showcase the product features and play patterns effectively to the viewer. Over the course of the internship, complex lighting techniques, toy composition, action figure posing, problem-solving, and final photo editing will be strengthened. The role will provide direct support to launch our amazing products in our Global Digital Marketplace while keeping tabs on items and deadlines with our PDE Lead.
The ability to be successful in this role requires executing a creative vision within tight deadlines, including being proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable. Enjoy collaborating within a team environment but are also able to work independently. You’re able to clearly communicate, follow through with assigned tasks, and be flexible to change gears quickly while maintaining a positive attitude. A Day in the Life:
• Intakes samples received from vendors.
• Tracks samples against deadlines in company databases.
• Communicate in a timely manner to the PDE Lead on the status of projects.
• Develops photography from conception to completion.
• Ability to balance artistic approach with practical business requirements.
• Solid command of in-studio, strobe lighting equipment and techniques.
• Provides direct creative support to art directors, marketing teams, and designers.
• Establishes retouching techniques that visually enhance final assets.
• Ensures a high level of technical quality and aesthetics for all photography created and distributed by the studio.
• Photographs and retouches images for global use for e-commerce.
• Works directly with designers, marketing, and management to establish desirable lighting and set conditions.
• Photograph products to demonstrate play patterns and scale.
• Maintains an archive of high-resolution assets, following established naming
conventions and folder structures.
• Maintains an organized, clean, and welcoming photo studio.
