A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PROJECT ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
Main Purpose of Job
:
- The role is to support the E&A Lead in plan, coordinate, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within Capex budget for the project. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan.
- As a key person in E&A Team to work through all the design, implementation and start-up phases of project, having close alignment and collaboration with multiple stakeholders through the project life cycle, in Electricity area.
- Deliver expertise to project in area of Electricity ensuring full compliances, health and safety, product safety and environment are never compromised.
Key Outputs:
1. Electricity System Design:
- Support the E&A Leader in defining the project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in the responsible area. Working with process user/TCU and design consultant to finalize the required system design (including URS, P&ID and TPM characteristics) within the deadline.
- Closely working with draftsman in developing the installation designs (BIM).
- Ensure system design fulfill process operation and automation requirement per Nestlé standard & requirements.
2. Project Management:
- Identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Supporting E&A Lead to create detailed project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Execute the Electrical installation works and monitor the progress.
- Manage the day-to-day operations aspects of the project - Electrical works and support the equipment installation.
3. Lead and Manage:
- Coordinate with external installation team to ensure a safe and smooth installation execution; resolves any conflict between owner-contractors and among contractors.
- Mobilize resources (internal & external).
- Execute on electrical installation and commissioning timely by making sure the overall plant been commissioned as per per given schedule.
4. Safety and Health:
- Implement site SHE protocols to ensure installation work is done is a safe manner, observing all company/governmental regulations. Conducts safety audits.
- Promote development of environmental-friendly and sustainable solutions.
5. Standard and Compliance:
- Ensure that installation by contractors is according to specifications and comply with relevant regulations and Nestle’s standards
