Seafreight Operations Supervisor

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The position of Ocean Supervisor is to assist Ocean & Inland Manager to supervise overall daily outbound shipping as well as all inland programs handled by subordinates CS.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Take responsibility for end-to-end process of some key accounts.
• Take care of all Export issues, jump in when team members get stuck, lead them to solve problems by themselves.
• Follow and calculate to balance workload for team members.
• Audit and control general operation cost to be optimal and avoid uncommon cost or extra uneconomic charge.
• Consult direct manager for any dispute among team, or through current handling process to get proper correction immediately as well as to build constructive organization along with efficient SOP.
• Take care of team members, support manager to build up teamwork.
• Guide and train team members to find solutions independently. Give them advice if need be.
• Encourage team members when they face difficult things.
• Observe and develop potential people.
• System and data management. Control performance of team member when they key in system, fulfill missing data if need.
• Support direct Manager for internal reports.
• Manage performance of carrier, co-loader, and oversea agent. Follow up regional team's instruction to use core vendors and raise up issue when placing booking under OIA contract.
• Renew contract and sign off annually.
• Train for newcomers when he/she onboard.
• Others internal team tasks.
