Senior Womenswear Designer

Oktava by Cherryfield Vietnam is a 100% foreign-invested and owned company specializing in garment production and export to both US and European markets.
We are looking for a talented Senior Womenswear Designer
to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in designing and developing womenswear collections for a diverse global client base, including premium and high-street retailers.
This position requires a balance of creativity, technical expertise, and commercial awareness to ensure designs align with client briefs, cost targets, and production feasibility. You will collaborate closely with internal teams—merchandising, fabric sourcing, and sample development—as well as directly with buyers and brand representatives to bring concepts to life.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design across multiple product categories, ensuring alignment with seasonal concepts, client expectations, and brand identities.
• Develop seasonal trend forecasts and market research as well as keep up-to-date with the latest trends, fabric innovations, and manufacturing techniques to offer proactive design solutions to clients.
• Collaborate with R&D and production teams to develop samples, ensuring fit, construction, and finishing meet brand standards.
• Oversee fabric and trim selection, working with suppliers to source quality materials that meet design and cost objectives.
• Participate in fittings and technical development, refining designs based on feedback.
• Manage critical paths and deadlines, ensuring timely delivery of collections.
• Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
• Attend client meetings, fabric shows, and factory visits to strengthen partnerships and stay ahead of industry trends.
