Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE)

The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) will be responsible for monitoring the performance of key suppliers to specification, written procedures, and established manufacturing and quality standards. The SQE will help review proposed mfg processes, suggest improvements, perform quality audits and inspections and review qualification results. The SQE should have a good working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) as this position will monitor, manage and report quality information back to the Quality Group Leader and Chief Quality Engineer. The SQE will personally drive robust quality plans, audits, processes and reports directly to the Quality Group Leader. When an issue is found, the SQE will work with the supplier, Supply Chain and/or sub tier supplier to propose containment plans and acceptable rework as necessary. Additionally, the SQE will monitor and drive thorough Corrective Action and root causes analysis of any issue found as well as foster continuous improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Project Support
- Ensures gauging, long term capability control plan, etc. is in place and sustained.
- Conducts supplier training on PPAP tools, as necessary
- Handles process/product validations and approvals (FAI)
- Participates in engineering design reviews
- Participates in joint development of plans with sourcing and engineering (quality, delivery, cost, NPD, supplier changes, etc.)
- Participates in engineering lessons learned
- Provide regular status reports to management regarding quality and delivery.
- Perform production process audit and shipment inspection.
2. Supplier Selection and Improvement
- Works with suppliers to improve their systems
- Conducts supplier audits and qualifications
- Provides feedback to supplier regarding improvement opportunities
- Re-audits suppliers per schedule and provides updated feedback
3. Issue Resolution
- Assist Supplier with Root Cause Analysis and corrective actions when issues arise (RCCA)
4. Regular review and feedback to supplier
- Maintains action list for the above categories
- Reviews actions with suppliers on regular basis

Salary: VND 35 - 45 million per month, depending on experience
