ABOUT THE POSITION
- The Technology Officer
is responsible for managing all facilities, simulators, IT-AV infrastructure, equipment, and consumables to guarantee a safe, high-quality, and consistent simulation experience.
- The Technology Officer will also troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues, facilities issues, and general operations in the center. Other responsibilities of these professionals include providing first and second-level repairs and preventative maintenance to simulation resources; ensuring that equipment and supplies are used and maintained properly; planning, developing, and manufacturing materials for replacement parts or consumables of task trainer; and maintaining current simulation related knowledge, communications and customer service.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Set up simulation supplies and equipment in support of training scenarios targeted to meet identified learning objectives.
- Responsible for managing all facilities, simulators, IT-AV infrastructure, equipment, and consumables to ensure the center operates continuously
- Operate simulation equipment, task trainers, computerized simulators, and virtual reality procedural trainers individually or in combination with the ability to follow legitimate medical aspects of scenarios and make appropriate adjustments based on participant actions or inactions.
- Create troubleshooting documents, simulator checklists, and simulation lesson plans/scenarios for simulation equipment.
- Operate and perform basic maintenance of task trainers, high fidelity manikins, and other medical simulator systems…
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot simulation-related audio-video recording systems.
- Provide inputs to develop a training plan, work plan, cash forecast, and budget of the Simulation Center.
