The QC/QA Manager (Metal CNC Machining)
is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of products, processes, and services by developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems. Key responsibilities include:
Develops and Implements ISO Quality Management Systems
• Establishes and maintains a ISO Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Develops and implements quality plans, procedures, and protocols for product development, manufacturing, and testing.
• Ensures compliance with all quality standards and requirements.
Leads Quality Assurance Team
• Supervise and mentor quality assurance inspectors.
• Coaches CNC machinists for various inspections during or immediately after machining to identify tolerance problems. You will need to be able to teach machinists how to evaluate the products that are being made with the measurement tools.
• Provides guidance and direction on quality-related activities, including testing, inspection, and documentation.
• Ensures effective communication and collaboration among team members, such as operations, engineering, sourcing, and finance.
Conducts Quality Audits and Assessments
• Plans, conducts, and reports on internal and external quality audits and assessments.
• Identifies and implements corrective actions to address quality issues and non-conformities.
• Ensures closure of audit findings and implementation of corrective actions.
Analyzes and Reports Quality Data
• Collects, analyzes, and interprets quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Presents quality metrics and reports to management and stakeholders.
• Develops and implements corrective actions to address quality issues and improve process performance.
Collaborates with Cross-Functional Teams
• Works closely with product development, manufacturing, and engineering teams to ensure quality considerations are integrated into product design and development.
• Collaborates with customer service and sales teams to address customer quality concerns and improve product quality.
