APAC R&D Manager

JOB BRIEF:
• Reporting to Asian Vice President and HQ R&D Director
• Base location: Ho Chi Minh Office or Binh Phuoc plant
JOB PURPOSE
: The R&D Manager will lead the qualification of new materials and drive product development across all categories. This role involves managing R&D stocks, ensuring compliance with industry trends and HSE standards, and reporting regularly to both local management and R&D headquarters.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Material Qualification:
• Reviewing and approving technical specifications and reports.
• Ensure all new materials meet stringent performance, safety, and quality criteria in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
2. Panel Testing & Analysis:
• Translating technology, market, and consumer insights into targeted concepts and product specifications.
• Track and analyze results from product panels to inform product enhancements and development strategies.
3. Trend Monitoring & Innovation:
• Stay current with industry trends, competitor innovations, and new products.
• Partnering with external functions such as Marketing, Product Design, Supply Chain, Plant Manufacturing, Consumer Technical Insight and Product Research to enable the delivery of new initiatives in a timely manner.
4. Artwork Management:
• Oversee and approve the design and production of new product artwork, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and regulatory standards.
5. R&D Stock Control:
• Manage R&D inventory levels to support ongoing projects and product trials, collaborating with procurement and supply chain teams for smooth material acquisition and usage.
6. Reporting:
• Prepare and present detailed reports on material qualifications, product performance, panel results, and market trends to both local management and R&D headquarters.
• Developing and recommending business and delivery plans based on current technical results and capabilities.
7. HSE Compliance:
• Ensure adherence to local HSE regulations and corporate safety standards within the R&D department.
