Assistant Manager - Maintenance

To execute Engineering related functions of all manufacturing and service areas including infrastructure, projects and EMS so as to provide an uninterrupted service and thereby facilitate organizational operations.
1. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules, conduct regular inspections, and ensure repairs are performed as needed
2. Create a robust system to troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and corrective actions to minimize downtime
3. Lead the implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices across the factory
4. Execute and supervise comprehensive general maintenance activities across all factory facilities
5. Maintain and ensure the optimal functionality of all utility systems, including water, sewage and wastewater, electrical, AC, compressed air, and steam
6. Manage good rapport and coordinate with external service providers, such as boiler service and industrial park authorities
7. Prepare the annual budgets and oversee other maintenance activities to ensure a quality service within the allocated funds
8. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives within the maintenance department, such as spare parts usage optimization, energy efficiency projects, and equipment upgrades
9. Manage inventory levels of spare parts, ensuring optimal stock levels to minimize downtime and cost
10. Collaborate with production teams to improve machine performance and productivity
11. Lead and participate in engineering projects related to equipment upgrades, new machinery installations, and process improvements
12. Manage and develop a team of engineering technicians, provide technical guidance, training, and review performance regularly
13. Implement sustainability roadmap to ensure the organization remains environmentally responsible whilst achieving its business objectives and deliverables
14. Implement management systems such as ISO 14001, ISO 50001, ISO 14064, and Higg Index
15. Ensure development, implementation and the improvement of health and safety policies, procedures, and best practices to create a hazard free work environment
16. Consult with relevant parties such as government authorities and private service providers to obtain approvals, permits and renewal of licenses / agreements to ensure uninterrupted operation of the facility
