We are looking for talents for a Librarian
position at the school
Work location: Brighton College Vietnam, Vinhomes Ocean Park Urban Area, Da Ton Commune, Gia Lam District, Hanoi.
I. JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Arrange an open and airy library area with enough seats for pupils to read in every period. Keep the books organized;
- Monitor pupils’ reading discipline; give pupils comments, help them draw the lessons and make timely adjustments in reading if necessary; Keep a daily reading record;
- Write a brief description for new books, assign barcodes and put labels on books and shelves; arrange books neatly in the shelves and cabinets after making brief descriptions; fix the damaged books on a daily basis;
- Serve the readers: welcome the readers (individuals or in class), navigate them to the suitable seats; develop a reading culture;
- Manage the library books on the software: input detailed information of new books according to the regulations; keep record of the library profile according to the regulations; assign labels according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; monitor the book input; take an inventory and list the torn, damaged and lost books on an annual basis;
- Provide instructions in library rules; introduce new and interesting books;
- Register lists of new books; Make performance reports every week, month, and school year.
