USAID V-LEEP II is helping Vietnam continue its transition to a clean, secure, and market-based energy sector by increasing the deployment of advanced energy systems, improving energy sector performance, and increasing competition in the energy sector. In pursuit of a sustainable and market-based energy sector, V-LEEP II is helping mobilize private sector investment to increase the deployment of advanced energy systems and is supporting project design for clean energy developers and providing technical assistance to lenders for clean energy investment.
 Work you will do
This position for Private Sector Engagement Support Specialist is for a local Vietnamese part-time staff
based in Ho Chi Minh City starting from September 2023. Domestic travel may be expected as required by project activities. Work and travel will be in compliance with the policies and procedures of the Vietnamese and US governments, Deloitte, and the V-LEEP II project office.
The successful candidate will assist the V-LEEP II Technical Leadership in performing various activities, including:
• Facilitate V-LEEP II in the engagements with renewable energy project developers, with an initial focus on Transitional Projects and Rooftop Solar Projects;
• Facilitate relationship management with the private sector, including project developers and renewable energy buyers;
• Support Private Sector Engagement Task Lead in managing V-LEEP II pipeline for transaction support;
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with private sectors and take responsibility for follow-up activities;
• Facilitate meetings with private sector, prepare meeting minutes and other relevant reports, where necessary;
• Perform other related tasks as assigned by V-LEEP II’s management or designee as may be required to contribute to the achievement of V-LEEP II goals and objectives.
