to manage client relationships, drive product development, and oversee the production process to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
Job Overview
As the Footwear Product Manager
at Opus Manufacturing, you will be responsible for managing lifecycle of footwear products for our client brands. You will oversee the development process from design to delivery, ensuring product specifications align with client needs, while maintaining strong communication with internal teams and manufacturing partners. You’ll work directly with clients to ensure their footwear requirements are met and monitor all aspects of production, quality control, and cost management.
What You’ll be Doing?
• Client Liaison & Relationship Management:
1. Act as a point of contact for client brands, maintaining strong relationships and understanding their specific footwear needs, timelines, and quality standards.
2. Collaborate with clients to define product concepts, materials, designs, and specifications that align with their brand vision and market demands.
3. Manage client expectations throughout the product development process, from initial design to final production.
• Product Development & Design Coordination:
1. Work with the team to translate client briefs into actionable product development plans.
2. Oversee the creation and finalization of product specifications, including materials, fit, performance features, and aesthetic design.
3. Ensure all product prototypes meet client expectations and quality standards, facilitating revisions as needed.
• Manufacturing Oversight:
1. Coordinate with production team to ensure that all products are manufactured according to client specifications, budgets, and timelines.
2. Coordinate with supply chain, ensuring timely procurement of materials and components required for production.
3. Manage factory relationships, overseeing production capacity, lead times, and troubleshooting any manufacturing issues that arise.
• Project Management & Timelines:
1. Manage the product development timeline, ensuring that key milestones (design, sample approval, production) are met and product launches are on schedule.
2. Develop and monitor project timelines, tracking production progress and providing regular updates to both internal and client teams.
3. Identify potential delays or risks and take corrective actions to mitigate production disruptions.
• Post-Production & Client Support:
1. Provide ongoing support to clients, ensuring product performance meets expectations and handling any issues related to delivery or quality.
