Forest Development Senior Consultant

The individual is responsible for overseeing and managing all activities related to forest development and sustainable management. This role involves identifying and acquiring suitable land for forestation, planning and managing nurseries, ensuring sustainable forest care and logging operations, overseeing biomass processing, managing project finances, and maintaining effective communication and reporting. The purpose of this position is to ensure the successful implementation and sustainability of forest development projects, while maximizing economic benefits and minimizing environmental impacts.
Main Duties:
1. Land Acquisition:
- Identify and evaluate potential land for forestation projects.
- Negotiate and secure land agreements in compliance with legal and environmental regulations.
2. Nursery Planning and Management:
- Develop and implement nursery plans for optimal seedling growth.
- Oversee the care and maintenance of nursery plants to ensure high survival rates.
3. Forest Care and Logging Operations:
- Implement sustainable forest management practices.
- Plan and supervise logging activities to maximize yield and minimize environmental impact.
4. Biomass Processing
- Oversee the processing of forest biomass.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
5. Project Finance:
- Manage project budgets and financial planning.
- Prepare financial reports and analyze project profitability.
6. Communication and Reporting:
- Prepare detailed project reports and presentations.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including government agencies, investors, and community
members.
