OPPORTUNITY
- VinUniversity is seeking a motivated, organized individual who is passionate about active learning and multimedia design to serve as the Instructional Designer in the Teaching & Learning Excellence Center (TLEC). This individual will work collaboratively with the other learning specialists in TLEC as well as faculty and teaching assistants to support effective learning design with a focus on digital learning resources. This multifaceted role combines administrative duties, multimedia authoring, graphic design, and instructional design support. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- REPORTING LINE: Reports to the Director of Teaching & Learning Excellence Center
- PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (percentages indicate an approximate breakdown of the role):
1. Administrative Support (40%)
- Manage communication and correspondence with internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare and maintain reports.
- Support the budgeting process and handle purchases using SAP (training will be provided).
- Organize and maintain the official work document archive portal with a keen eye for detail.
- Plan and execute educational events including internal training workshops, Lunch and Learn sessions for faculty and TAs, symposiums for external educators, and other events.
2. Multimedia Authoring and Graphic Design (30%)
- Create engaging and visually appealing multimedia content (including images, video content, interactive e-learning content) for learning activities such as online learning content, training activities, and promotional material.
- Ensure all materials adhere to university branding, accessibility guidelines, and copyright.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in multimedia authoring and design.
3. Instructional Design Support (30%)
- Assist TLEC colleagues in developing and enhancing courses and learning activities.
- Support TLEC’s varied teaching and learning activities for the wider university to continually improve the student learning experience.
- Curate and create engaging, relevant, and high-quality resources to support academic staff’s professional development.
- Support faculty and TAs with teaching and learning matters and e-learning creation.
- Other tasks as assigned by the Director: Teaching and Learning Excellence Center.
