Legal Counsel

Job Summary
Oversee all legal aspects of the business; guarantee that Company strictly follows law guidelines; give legal advices to management about all relevant issues; ensure legal conformity and minimize probability of exposure.
Principal Accountabilities
Give accurate and timely counsel to executives in a variety of legal topics (labor law, partnerships, corporate finance…)
Collaborate with management to devise efficient strategies; research and evaluate different solutions and risk factors regarding business decisions and operations.
Communicate, manage and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsels, public authorities…); create relations of trust.
Draft and solidify agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure Company’s full legal rights.
Work alongside other divisions / teams within the Company; advise on contract status, legal risks and legal liabilities associated with different deals.
Deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders and forces; research and anticipate unique legal issues that could impact Company.
Handle and manage all business / store and advertising board licenses; including but not limited to Enterprise registration certificate; Investment registration certificate, Trading license and Retail shop license. Directly deal with landlords regarding legal concern on counter opening / closing; follow up with them on rental contract expiry date.
Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to everyone in the Company; maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation.
Coordinate with HQ on IP trademark and issues regarding local laws; conduct monthly legal reports correctly and punctually.
Directly handle or support other stakeholders to handle government audits.
Other tasks as assigned by the direct supervisor.
