Major Wildlife Crime Case Officer

Position Description
The Major Wildlife Crime Case Officer (MCO) is tasked with working exclusively on priority wildlife crime cases. The MCO actively dealing and tracks major cases, collecting case facts and related evidence, identifying the suspect and working directly with Vietnamese authorities and documenting progress on the Wildlife Crime Database.
Main Responsibilities
1. Handling Wildlife Crimes
• Address major wildlife violations reported to ENV or resulting from surveys focusing on
major ivory, rhino horn, tiger, pangolin and other high-volume violations.
2. Law Enforcement Liaison
• Develop working relationships with representatives from key law enforcement agencies in order to facilitate information sharing and cooperation
3. Communications
• Actively keep the investigation team leader and manager apprised of all key developments and progress, through daily communications, and through formal reporting processes.
4. Other Duties
• Complete other duties and assignments as specified by the ENV Management Board and/or the Investigation Team Leader
