Senior Executive Underwriter (Property And Engineering)

JOB PURPOSE
We are looking for a Senior Executive underwriter with specialized knowledge in risk assessment for Property and Engineering. Underwriter is expected to have meticulous attention to detail, good negotiating skills and work according to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Underwriter should be analytical and exceptional communicator with brilliant research and classification skills. Candidates with good risk analysis and selection with remarkable decision-making skills, a deep understanding of assessing property and engineering risk as well as reinsurance arrangement will be preferred.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assess risk according to risk information provided by marketing; liaising with relevant teams and departments including marketing, risk engineering etc. to collect appropriate and accurate information required to assess risk
2. Review and revise and/or propose proper terms and conditions to each risk following internal regulation and risk quality
3. Make decision on acceptance, modification or decline risk based on given authority; process with referral to authorized person if required
4. If required, place Fac RI capacity subject to follow internal’s guideline.
5. Follow up with risk binding and Fac RI sign line if required; cooperate with Policy Administration Department and Reinsurance team with quotation loading and RI Slip issuance if any.
6. Responsible to set and complete own KPI and contribute to team/department annual Goal
7. Analyze statistical data and handle the assigned reports within deadlines.
8. Conduct internal and external training.
9. Others as assigned by team leader and/or HOD and/or as required by the authorized
