POSITION SUMMARY:
Senior Production Manager is in charge of all operations processes, and production work for company plant and accountable for achievement of plant performance objectives and product quality
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Overseeing the production process, drawing up a production schedule;
• Ensuring that the production is cost effective;
• Making sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality;
• Working out the human and material resources needed;
• Drafting a timescale for the job;
• Setting the quality standards and responsible for the product quality control for the plant;
• Manage ongoing cost reduction projects, cost avoidance and continuous improvement projects for the facility;
• Monitoring the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed;
• Being responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment;
• Monitoring product standards and implementing quality-control programs;
• Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed;
• Confer with department heads to ensure coordination of purchasing, production, and shipping;
• Liaising with other functions, such as marketing, sales and finance to implement the company's policies and goals;
• Schedule and conduct plant meetings;
• Fulfill personal training and development needs as required by the company;
• Conduct employee performance, reviewing the performance of subordinates;
• Recommend to Senior Management any policy or procedure changes which would likely enhance the operation of the facility;
• Perform miscellaneous tasks related to the position of Senior Production Manager as necessary.
