Senior Project and Design Engineer (Civil & Structure)

As a key member of the improvement projects team, your skills and experience will ensure that all work meets the standards in relation to safety, quality, schedules, and cost. The Senior Project and Design Engineer (Civil & Structure) is responsible for the execution of the major earthworks, concrete, structure works packages and other associated civil construction activities for the project. The primary challenge of this position is to ensure the project is completed in accordance with all technical requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet contractual arrangements and stakeholders requirements.
MAIN DUTIES
• Manage and oversee the design and construction activities executed by the earthworks, civil, structure contractors’ during the construction and commissioning phase of the project.
• Work with other team members and stakeholders to define scope of work, complete cost estimation (CAPEX, OPEX) and schedule development in order to get necessary approval for projects moving forward.
• Oversee and cover all project aspects (Safety, scope, schedule, cost, risk) for the assigned projects.
• Preprare the necessary reports to inform stakeholder the status, outstanding, recommendations and action plan.
• Montior the contractors productivity and efficiency and provide feedback to contractor of improvement areas.
• Review, comment and approval of contractors’ construction methodology statements and plans including; mobilization plans (manning and machinery/equipment), construction schedule, HSSE plans,
• Provide assistance to project and construction management in implementing and complying with project requirements and in addressing technical issues as they arise during project execution.
• Coordinate and provide technical assistance comply with project specific requirements.
• Provide technical support and engineering guidance directly to construction supervision and subcontractors in planning and field activities in accordance with the project requirements.
• QA/QC management of site construction (Earthworks, Civils and Structure). Develop, review and approve ITPs in associated with fabrication and installation.
