About the Opportunity:
As a Senior Scrum Master at Crossian LLC, you will be pivotal in fostering an Agile culture and guiding our teams to deliver high-quality products. You will collaborate closely with Development team, Product Managers, Business owners, and other stakeholders to ensure that Scrum practices are effectively implemented and continuously improved. This role demands a proactive leader who can facilitate Agile processes and enhance team performance while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Agile Coaching and Facilitation:
- Coach teams in self-management and cross-functionality, helping them to focus on creating high-value increments that meet the Definition of Done (DoD).
- Ensure Scrum events (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective) are positive, productive, and within the timebox.
- Train and coach Product Managers & Business Owners on effective Product Goal definition, Product Backlog management, and release planning to maximize business value.
- Facilitate getting work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
Team and Process Improvement:
- Conduct Scrum maturity assessments and create improvement plans based on findings.
- Implement and continuously improve Scrum adoption at the team and organizational levels.
- Identify gaps in the Agile process or skills to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide support to the team using a servant leadership style and lead by example.
Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication:
- Facilitate discussion, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
- Collaborate closely with the Product Managers & Business Owners and other teams to maintain clear communication on project status and details.
- Report promptly and transparently about project progress to stakeholders, periodically and upon request.
- Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged.
Performance Enhancement:
- Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments.
- Adopt appropriate stances such as Trainer, Mentor, Coach, Leader, Facilitator, Manager, and Change Agent as needed.
- Help teams improve their effectiveness and efficiency through training and coaching activities.
- Train and coach teams to use Agile tools like Jira, Confluence, Asana, Slack, GSuite, and others.
