BASIC FUNCTION OF THE JOB:
This position is part of our Global Trade Compliance Team who act as the main contact for global trade compliance within Vietnam to manage general trade compliance mission in Vietnam site and execute export and import compliance operations activities:
• General Trade Compliance (50%)
: Serve as the primary contact for global trade compliance in Vietnam. Build strong relationships with government officials, support the implementation of global trade compliance programs, advise senior management on regulatory changes, and ensure adherence to import/export regulations. Conduct internal training, drive process improvements, and resolve trade compliance issues.
• Export Compliance (20%)
: Manage export hold releases, perform classification determinations, and oversee Vietnam's export systems. Complete license applications, liaise with foreign agencies, and conduct regular export compliance training for employees.
• Import Compliance (20%)
: Strengthen Vietnam’s import compliance program, manage customs brokers, conduct internal audits, determine HS code classifications, and ensure compliance with free trade agreements.
• Others (10%)
: Depending on the location, manage and maintain ISO 9000, 9001, 14001, and other applicable standards within the Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
