TECHNICAL DESIGNER APPAREL – SMU

Design
• Create design of apparel products that fulfil objectives of briefs.
• Create accurate style descriptions and impactful product overview presentation files.
• Ensuring design implementation at proto fittings.
• Ability to work within cross-functional team which supports project management and development.
• Stay updated on current trends, outdoor consumer preferences, and market demands to guide design decisions and provide informed recommendations.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to strict timelines and budget constraints.
Consumer
• Consumer centric approach and thinking.
• Translating design briefs towards the target consumer.
Sustainability
• Understand and develop knowledge of best practice design. Have well rounded knowledge
of sustainability opportunities within design practice.
Knowledge
• Deep apparel product knowledge and experience in design.
• Proven experience with the entire apparel product creation process.
• Well rounded knowledge in both outdoor and sports industry.
• Solid education and advanced experience in creative design tools/apps
Financials
• Good understanding of margin management and improvement opportunities.
