PURPOSE/ MỤC ĐÍCH
 Manage and direct the organization towards its primary objectives, based on profit and return on capital, growth projections, and development of new business and expansion of scope of business.
 Develop & transfer to the local business, world-class Terminals operations, engineering/technical & procurement capabilities, competencies & expertise.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES/ NHIỆM VỤ CHÍNH

 Define, develop & execute visions & strategies for SSIT, including business planning, & budgeting.
 Manage the daily business according to the agreed operating principles of the business & relationships with customers, including:
- Determining & executing investments for new equipment, systems & expansion in the existing terminal
- Determining appropriate staffing levels, & managing recruitment, competencies, training, education & career planning, as per legal & company requirements
 Establish business priorities to meet the customer requirements.
 Drive continuous improvement in productivity & cost management.
 Select, negotiate & enter into binding agreements with suppliers & customers & be accountable for execution & maintenance of service levels as agreed.
 Proactively pursue development in technology & systems as applicable locally & in conjunction with Global Terminals, to improve efficiencies in cost, productivity & customer service.
 Drive, develop & deploy best practices within operations, engineering, maintenance, procurement, security, safety & environmental management, including deployment of SSA Global tools, where available.
 Recommend appointments & dismissals of own direct reports to MC
 Organise, coach, challenge, & develop staff.
 Recommend remuneration of all staff in the business.
 Align Financial procedures with Regional Finance norms & standards
 Risk Management:
- Assess the identified risks on an ongoing basis & identify trigger events
- Identify significant risks in operations, commercial, finance, strategy & compliance areas
- Have strategies to deal with & manage the identified risks
 This position establishes longer term business strategy for a local terminal operation based on the overall company vision & strategy
 The position has predominant authority for the delivery of local terminal results & each terminal head will also have a quite marked contribution to the overall results of the company as a whole
 The position will drive subordinated positions to efforts of continuous improvements in order to increase productivity or to better manage costs & operational overheads
 As the incumbent has to constantly manage divergent needs between various functions & is responsible for the delivery of the terminals business plans, the position will exercise a multi-dimensional role encompassing all areas of the business
 The position is responsible for considering and ensuring the confidentiality of all works, documents and information received during the course of work performance with due diligence and not to disclose any confidential information to any third-party for any purpose that is related to the company’s business during and after the employment with SSIT.
 The position has the responsibility to read, acknowledge understanding, stay updated and set good example of compliance with the company’s policies stipulated in various regulations, guides and manuals.
