Logistic Manager

Job Purpose
A Logistic Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the efficient flow of products from manufacturing facilities to distributors. This involves managing transportation, warehousing, inventory control, and distribution processes to ensure timely delivery, minimize costs, and meet customer demands.
Main duties
• Develop and implement logistics strategies:
Create and execute comprehensive logistics plans that align with the company's business objectives, considering factors such as product perishability, demand fluctuations, and distribution channels.
• Manage transportation operations:
Select and coordinate transportation carriers, negotiate rates, and optimize routes to ensure efficient and cost-effective product movement.
• Oversee warehousing operations:
Manage warehouse facilities, including inventory storage, handling, and retrieval. Implement systems to track product expiration dates and prevent stockouts or overstocking.
• Optimize inventory management:
Develop and implement inventory control strategies to balance supply and demand, minimize stockouts and excess inventory, and reduce holding costs.
• Ensure timely order fulfillment:
Coordinate order processing, picking, packing, and shipping to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
• Manage logistics team:
Lead and develop a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure their performance meets expectations. Train and manage team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
• Analyze data and metrics:
Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics operations, such as on-time delivery rates, inventory turnover, and transportation costs. Use data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and make informed decisions.
• Ensure compliance:
Adhere to relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies related to logistics, including food safety, quality control, and environmental standards.
