ABOUT THE ROLE
Dalberg is seeking a Program Manager to support the delivery of a small and medium enterprise (“SME”) technical assistance program (“TA Program”) in Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines over the next five years.
The TA Program empowers local entrepreneurs—in particular, women-owned businesses—by equipping them with the skills. The TA Program aims to support up to 50 SMEs. Technical assistance will be delivered in 1:1 and group trainings.
To support these SMEs, Dalberg will work with the SMEs in identifying their needs and tailoring a number of support programs to meet those needs. The content and methodology of each technical assistance module is at present quite flexible and may include a providing global expertise and benchmarks, training SMEs on how to use specific tools effectively, or providing leadership training for their workforce.
To deliver the TA Program, Dalberg will work with a variety of partners, including global and local experts, and will coordinate closely with the SMEs.
The role of the Program Manager will be managing all aspects of the program. The Program Manager will work with the SMEs to understand their needs; lead the content creation process and liaise with Dalberg staff to design and implement each technical assistance modules; identify local partners to help deliver some of the content; track participation and satisfaction in trainings; manage the administrative including tracking payments; and report on the impact of the program.
The Program Manager will jointly work with the Program Directors (and additional team members when ‘surge capacity’ is required) to design or deliver technical support. From the client side’s perspective, the Program Manager will be the day-to-day contact with the client.
Responsibilities:
The Program Manager will lead the execution of the following tasks with input and oversight from the Program Directors:
• Lead the creation and delivery of the technical assistance modules: Work with the SMEs to identify their needs and identify technical assistance requirements. Coordinate with Dalberg teams and internal / external experts, develop materials and facilitate sessions.
• Manage logistics: Oversee the planning and organization of program logistics, such as venues and technology, to ensure smooth delivery of the TA modules.
• Liaise with the client: Act as the primary point of contact for the client, managing communication and providing regular progress reports on the program.
• Overall management of administrative requirements
o Track and report on budget
o Lead the development of reporting on progress of the program at regular intervals to the client
o Build ongoing plans and priorities, and proactively monitoring progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action
o Support the Project Directors and the Program Director from Dalberg, in delivering effective quality assurance, and support the overall integrity of the program, focusing inwardly on the internal consistency of the program, and outwardly on its coherence globally and quality of execution on a country-by-country level
o Manage the program management office budget, monitoring expenditure, and costs against agreed levels with the client
