Analyst Material Costing

Role & Responsibilities:
Position Definition (Key Purpose of the Position):
As part of the Global Material Supply (GMS) Team
, the costing analyst will manage all material costing related activities
that services Brands and products
sourced through Asia Sourcing Office in South East Asia Region
. The individual is responsible to manage and execute the apparel and equipment material cost benchmarking & pricing negotiation
that maximizes “One VF” scale in leverage through analytics and brings a procurement mindset to the organization. The role has extensive focus to operationally connect with Brands, Sourcing, Suppliers, Finance, and Responsible Sourcing & Sustainability organizations. Frequent influential communication
to external partners are required.
Key Result Areas:
• Manage the seasonal costing activities of equipment materials
through the go to market calendar to ensure all milestones are timely met.
• Increase leverage of the “One VF”
model through decisions supported by facts and data that will in turn support the material supply strategy in South East Asia
• Lead material cost negotiation tactics
by establishing cost targets, utilizing fact-based methodology, and driving for positive outcomes in supplier facing discussions
• Establish annual material cost savings
targets, drive initiatives, track progress, and report savings with close collaboration with GMS COE and Finance Teams
• Work cross-functionally in selection of global and local suppliers
and materials that support material and manufacturing strategies and Product Development objectives.
• Manage the material costing database. Handle material cost benchmarking exercises - RFI, RFQ, brand specific commodity price update, saving tracking and price trend analysis.
