Supplier Quality Inspector

BASIC FUNCTION
Provide supplier quality project support to Strategic Sourcing and NPD teams in establishing & utilizing Supplier Quality procedures, processes and systems which drive consistency throughout the organization. Performs the Quality Project tasks described for assignments of moderate scope with some direction from their supervisor. This individual should enjoy being a change agent and a solid time management planner with the capability of applying fundamental quality techniques in multiple projects, and shall be actively developing skills in product, process and system related techniques.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as the Quality representative on procurement teams:
1. Manage supplier inspection plan
2. Perform Quality inspection to ensure that all Kohler requirements have been met
3. Support in Supplier Print/Process Reviews, process capability and gage studies
4. Support monitor and measurement of Kohler supplied gages to supply base
5. Support Supplier Quality Associates in problem resolution: Support investigations and verification of issues, identify root cause and resolve by utilizing relevant best practices for solution
6. Support Supplier Initial Risk Assessment activities to mitigate the risks to Kohler
7. Identify opportunities for process improvement activities to improve supplier yield.
