Job Role:
The Finance & Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the company, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and providing financial insights to support business decisions. This role involves managing the finance and accounting team, preparing financial reports, and developing strategies to enhance financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Professional duties
a) Financial Management: (30%)
o Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts.
o Oversee financial planning and analysis, including variance analysis.
o Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
o Manage cash flow and working capital to ensure liquidity.
o Monitor and control company expenditures and revenues.
o Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits.
o Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
o Develop and maintain financial models to assist in evaluating business performance and opportunities.
b) Accounting Operations: (70%)
o Supervise day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
o Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards.
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
o Implement and maintain robust internal controls to prevent errors and fraud.
2. Management duties:
o Manage, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
o Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
o Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team and with other departments.
